Seaside Designs & Photography

Biography

Nancy Dolan is an accredited graphic designer, illustrator and award winning photographer with 17 years experience in design & communications as owner and Creative Director of Seaside Designs. Nancy graduated with a degree in Graphic Design and Communications and after gaining a range of experience in advertising agencies & marketing firms, she launched her own visual communications business in Victoria in 1988. As her design business flourished, so did her passion for exploring nature and her love of photography. She has been able to seamlessly integrate her powerful images into her clients' collateral as well as marketing a range of products of her own from fine art cards to calendars. She is the publisher, designer, illustrator and principal photographer of 'The CasualNaturalist's Guide to the Salish Sea' a natural history guidebook of road & ferry routes through the Pacific Northwest. Nancy has been exploring her photographic art as a medium for creative expression by participating in gallery shows and competitions. She has won several awards; was chosen as one of the Artists on Site for the Victoria Tall Ships Festival; and her work has been published in the Toronto Star, Canadian Camera Magazine and Best of Photography Annual.
