GORD LANGSTON

Biography

Gord has spent over 20 years as a full time artist in varied media. He studied stone carving under master sculptor A. P. Smitherman in England before being enlisted by the film industry, sculpting for feature film movie sets for 12 years, and as he calls it "...an art school that pays you". It was during his film industry career that he learned mold making and other techniques from his fellow artists.

Pieces of Gord's artwork have been bought and commissioned from all over North America and Europe. He still works part time for the film industry but most of the time he will be found in his own studio in Sidney B.C.
