The Magic of Meritage
The concept of Meritage is based on a concept centuries old, 'invented' in France. Meritage is an assemblage of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Petite Verdot, and Malbec (some or all) for red, and Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon, and Muscadelle (same rules apply) for whites. Why is Meritage often a more complete wine than Cabernet, Merlot, or Sauvignon Blanc alone? We will explore the concept of Meritage, both red and white, with examples from around the globe.
Calendar: 3:30PM to 5:00PM, Saturday, October 28th, 2006
