Capital Arts Festival
October 5 to 18, 2006

VENUE PARTICIPATION

We are pleased to invite your arts organization to participate in the first annual Capital Arts Festival (CAF).

Independently produced by Victoria businessman Rob Vickery, of Heaven-on-Earth Marketing and Image Management Company, and in conjunction with a broad range of support from members of the business community, Capital Arts Festival 2006 is exclusive to practicing professional artists who live and work in the Greater Victoria Capital Regional District. Showcasing professional events in dance, media arts, music, literary arts, theatre, visual arts and more, the Capital Arts Festival is being held in venues throughout the GVCRD from October 5 to 18, 2006.

"A large percentage of practicing professional artists in Canada live in this region, yet, to date, there is no definitive regional, annual event that showcases and promotes practicing professional artists as a whole. The time has come to bring into being a regional, annual event which unifies and benefits practicing professional artists, member arts organizations, and the business community", said Rob Vickery, CAF Executive Director and festival founder.

Benefits of Arts Organization/Venue Participation:
  • Free participation in Capital Arts Festival 2006.
  • Free promotions of your arts organization/venue: pre-event, during the festival and through to December 31, 2006, and the first opportunity to participate in next year's festival. (your arts organization is responsible for your program content, venue procurement, costs, and ticket sales)
  • Logo presence in our promotional materials, program advertising, and signage.
