Print Submission Guidelines for CAF 2007 Member Participants

Within ten business days of signing on as a CAF 2007 Member Participant, please email your logo directly to our Graphic Designer.

INSTRUCTIONS
For your records, please print off a copy of the following PDF document:

1. Preferred file formats
a) EPS files from a vector based program, such as:
- Adobe Illustrator (any version)
- CorelDraw files or Freehand files must be exported as EPS files (we can not accept raw file formats from these programs)
- Please convert all fonts to outlines
b) BITMAPPED FILES, such as:
- Photoshop files, TIFF, or JPG files are acceptable if of sufficient size
(Do not send low resolution files from a web site)
- JPG files - saved at "high quality"
2. Preferred file size per file type
- For file sizes under 5 megs, email logo directly to: caf2007@cyandesign.ca
- Larger files over 5 megs may be uploaded to www.cyandesign.ca
(click the "upload a file" button) and clearly indicate file as: "CAF 07 Member Participant logo".
3. Resolution
- Bitmapped files - must be a minimum of 300 pixels per inch @ 100% actual size
- Approximately 4" wide
4. Colour
- CMYK or Pantone Colours only
- No RGB
5. Do not send your logo:
- Embedded within a Microsoft Word or Publisher document
- As a low resolution JPG or GIF from a web site

Introduction
The Capital Arts Festival 2007 Venue Guide is a 56 page hand book - featuring event editorial by our Member Participants, 5 advertising sizes, a Sponsor Page, an Event Calendar, an Event Listing Page and more!
- Distribution start date: August 1, 2007
- Print run of 20,000 copies
- Distributed throughout the Capital Regional District (CRD)
Text, Images and Graphics
CAF 2007 Member Participants have the opportunity to place a FREE editorial listing this year's publication. Booking of space is based on a first-come, first-booked basis. Editorial sizes come in 1/2 Page and Full Page (non-bleed) formats ONLY:
- 1/2 Page is 4.75" wide x 3.75" high. This space offers 1 image and up to 300 words. Image/graphic to be accompanied with a credit.
- Full page (non-bleed) is 4.75" wide x 7.625" high. This space offers 2-3 images and/or graphics and up to 500 words. Images/graphics to be accompanied with credits.
- For text: remember to include your contact information, venue location, event dates and times, ticket prices, when and where tickets can be purchased, or indicate if your event is free.
- Please note: you are responsible to check text for accuracy, spelling and grammar. All text received is assumed to be accurate. CAF 2007 assumes no responsibility for any errors or omissions:
Submission Deadline
- Ideally, the earlier your editorial submission, the better. Editorial cut off date is set for: 5PM, June 5, 2007. Late entries will not be accepted.
