The Slide Room Gallery is a non-profit society dedicated to the exhibition of artwork by local, national and international artists. The gallery welcomes curatorial and artist proposals.

Calendar - Exhibitions in October include:
- Faculty Exhibition (September 14 to October 2): first ever Faculty Exhibition at the Vancouver Island School of Art.
- Paper Palace (October 5 to 23): John Luna and Wendy Welch create a production made from, with, and on paper and other compatible materials. Opening: Friday, 7:30PM, October 5.
- Material Matters (October 26 to November 6): Marlene Bouchard and Catherine Holt pursue intersections between everyday materials and daily activities. Opening: Friday, 7:30PM, October 26.
