Victoria Chamber Orchestra
On Friday, October 12, 2007, the Victoria Chamber Orchestras' 14th season begins. Conducted by Yariv Aloni, the string orchestra concert will feature soloist Patricia Kostek. Ms. Kostek is a professor at the University of Victoria, Faculty of Music, and has an international reputation as a fine clarinet soloist in the USA and Europe.
The Victoria Chamber Orchestra was formed in 1994 by a group of dedicated Victoria musicians from all walks of life who share a common passion for playing chamber works for string orchestra. The Victoria Chamber Orchestra performed its first concert in February, 1995. Continuing as music director for his 14th year with the chamber orchestra, Mr. Aloni draws from his scores fresh and meaningful sound which this orchestra delivers in its energetic performances.
