  Eagle Feather
     First Nations Artists' Gallery

During the month of October, Eagle Feather - First Nations Artists' Gallery proudly presents the artwork of local Coast Salish master carver Doug LaFortune.

Featuring LaFortune's Coast Salish culture, which is reflected in his artwork, the collection comprises a diverse array of wood carvings including masks, bentwood boxes, bowls, rattles, paddles, talking sticks and totems. Known for his three-dimensional sculptures of island wildlife - local animals, birds, and sea life are carved from red cedar, yellow cedar, pine, alder and basswood. The show will also feature LaFortune's graphic work including hand painted drums and serigraph limited edition prints.


Venue: Eagle Feather Gallery, 904 Gordon Street (at Courtney Street), Victoria

Calendar: October 1 to 31. Open daily: Monday to Friday, 11AM-5:30PM; Saturday, 11AM-4:00PM; Sun 12PM-4PM
